Insects & Bugs

The Year 7 groups have been studying Insects and Bugs. It begins with Observation drawings of specimens in Resin.
Paying close attention to Axis of Symmetry, Scale and Proportion. Once some studies have been made with some basic annotations regarding anatomy. They then go on to make a colour abstract using Oil Pastels. Once they have completely covered their paper with colour. Their sheets are covered in Indian Ink and left to dry.
Without knowing what their final outcome will be, the groups return to some mark making exercises which neatly warms them up to scratching off the ink to reveal colour.
