Clay Piggy Banks

A Y7 Ceramics project, that begins with the students making 2 thumb pots. Which are provide students with the fundamental skills to create the piggy bank.

Once the Thumb pots have been created, the process is repeated again, this time with more clay.
The 2 thumb pots are then brought together to make the main body of the pig.

Once this is secure, then the features and limbs can be made and scored and slipped into place.
The final pigs are fired in a Honey Glaze.
